Saying Goodbye to Jobs4Autism
For over two years, I’ve been the voice behind Jobs4Autism. It has been an eye- and heart-opening experience. I’ve met so many inspirational people, heard stories of desperation and courage and have felt the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference in someone’s life, if only in a small way.
However, this will be my last post. Jobs4Autism.com is a nonprofit website and our supporters are no longer able to keep it operating.
Although I feel our site provided a much-needed service in the autism community, I know there are so many others out there fighting for awareness and solutions to the problem of employment for adults on the spectrum. Please give them your support.
Thank you for the support you gave Jobs4Autism, for helping to spread the word about us. I wish the best of luck in whatever hurdles you face. Don’t give up! Keep asking for help and keep helping others by sharing your stories in some way, even if it’s not here.
Our Facebook page will remain open as a resource for sharing and learning. If you’re not a member already, please join at http://www.facebook.com/groups/Jobs4Autism/
Best wishes and thanks again!
Barbara

I am sorry that you are abandoning your efforts. Contrary to your beliefs, I see little support for training and placing individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Most organizations are all talk and no action. They contain too many pimps who make their living off autistics while offering little assistance.
You were providing a valuable service, but I fully understand why you would want to move on.
Best wishes for a productive and happy future.
Please dont give up your efforts. One day will come giving you grand success.
